Our government has grown ridiculously huge and is out of control.
It interferes with our lives, destroys the economy, starts disastrous wars, and usurps our rights. Only 545 elected and appointed officials are directly responsible for either solving our country’s problems or making them worse. Unfortunately, things are bad and getting worse all the time.

Whose fault is it? The 545 career-politicians in power.
That’s 435 House Representatives, 100 Senators, the President, and 9 Supreme Court Justices. They make, enforce, and adjudicate the laws. They decide where our freedoms, our productive efforts, and our tax dollars go—usually down the drain. Do you like the way they're doing their jobs? Obviously, they are incapable of or disinterested in doing their jobs well.

Whose fault is it really? Yours! You elected them.
Except the Supreme Court. The officials that you elected appointed and confirmed those nine.

What should we do about it? Elect citizens instead of career-politicians.
Our Founding Fathers envisioned a government in which private citizens served the people, and after a limited time, left the corrupting influence of power, and returned to private life. Did they envision handing the reigns of government to third-generation millionaires who understand nothing of the citizens who elected them?! Of course not.

For whom should you cast your vote? Steve Wells.
I am like you. Honest and hard working. I worry about you and me. We must pay the rent, keep a job, find a job when out of work, keep a car running, buy medical care, and save enough money to live in a reasonable home instead of a cardboard box under an overpass.
But I’m also a little different. I have special skills for analyzing problems and seeing unusual solutions. My goal is a government that does what it’s supposed to, and only what it’s supposed to. And ringing up trillions of dollars in new debt is not what it’s supposed to do.
